The first activity today was the outdoor barber’s shop. Since lockdown most men seem to have developed a talent for cutting their own hair.

This seemed to be a successful mission.
We were back on house and garden tasks, but no wild swimming this evening as it was too windy. I think the weather forecast from tomorrow is rainy, so that may seriously have been the final wild swim of the year.
We have instituted a ban on pandemic conversations. We all know perfectly well what is happening from surreptitiously reading the news on the internet, but it was becoming very fractious and monotonous to keep talking about it and analysing it, so it has become a taboo, and we all feel a lot better. We have had interesting conversations about films we have seen, books we have read, music we have heard, childhood memories, a wide variety of topics. I can thoroughly recommend it.
